GUIDED TOURS:
Please note that you will need at least 2-2 1/2 hours in the Museum for guided tours.
Papermaking Workshop
(Kindergarten and older)
During a visit to the Museum, your students can participate in a short workshop on handmade paper. Each student will learn the process of papermaking – from a tree in the forest
to the paper we use every day. They will experience paper in its liquid form – “pulp” – and learn hands-on how to turn it into their very own piece of paper.
LECOM: The Healer Within
(3rd Grade and older)
Jump inside the human body to experience what a cancer cell looks like; help the healthy blood cells make it through the blood stream; see how your bones and muscles work while
cycling a bike. These are just a few things your students will do at The Healer Within exhibit. Visit five stationary exhibits to learn how the human body works and how to stay healthy.
We have teacher resource guides available for each guided tour. If you would like to have one, please call us at 453-3743.
